Looksmaxxing Peptides: The Complete Stack Breakdown

Looksmaxxing communities talk about peptides a lot — GHK-Cu for skin, Melanotan II for tan, PT-141 for libido, the growth-axis stacks for lean mass, BPC-157/TB-500 for recovery between training. Here's what each compound actually does, which vials make sense to start with, and which combinations pop up most.

What "looksmaxxing" means here

Looksmaxxing is the catch-all for stacking everything that compounds appearance: sleep, training, skincare, grooming, posture, body composition, and — increasingly — peptide compounds. The peptide angle breaks into four buckets: skin and hair quality, pigmentation and tan, body composition, and recovery. Most published looksmaxxing stacks mix one compound from each bucket rather than megadosing a single lane.

Skin, hair, and collagen: GHK-Cu leads the pack

GHK-Cu (copper peptide) is the compound that anchors nearly every serious looksmaxxing skin protocol. It has decades of dermatology and wound-healing literature behind it, which is rare for this space. Research describes GHK-Cu upregulating collagen, elastin, and decorin while suppressing senescence markers in skin models. Formats vary:

  • 50 mg injectable — the standard research vial, used subcutaneously or compounded into topicals.
  • 100 mg injectable — same compound, bigger vial for longer protocols.
  • GLOW / KLOW blends — pre-mixed stacks built around GHK-Cu plus BPC-157, TB-500, and (in KLOW) KPV.

If your goal is skin quality, GHK-Cu + a clean topical routine is the base layer most communities start with. The blends add a repair and anti-inflammatory layer on top — useful if you're also training hard or recovering from acne.

Pigmentation and tan: Melanotan I vs Melanotan II

Melanotan peptides are α-MSH analogs that drive melanin production. The looksmaxxing community uses them for faster, deeper tan — often as a primer before natural sun exposure.

Melanotan I (afamelanotide)

More MC1R-selective. Research describes it primarily driving eumelanin synthesis without the broader melanocortin effects of MT2. Slower onset, cleaner side-effect profile in the literature.

Melanotan II

Broad-spectrum melanocortin agonist — hits MC1R, MC3R, MC4R, MC5R. Faster, deeper pigmentation in published research, but because MC4R is part of central appetite and sexual-response circuits, the endpoint profile is wider than MT1. This is why MT2 is also associated with libido effects and occasional nausea at higher doses.

Body composition: growth-axis vs incretin pathways

Two different tracks here, and picking between them depends on whether your goal is gaining lean tissue or losing fat.

For lean mass: the growth-axis stack

The canonical combination is ipamorelin + CJC-1295 — a ghrelin-receptor agonist paired with a GHRH analog, driving GH release from two different receptors. Pre-blended vials save reconstitution time. Tesamorelin is the alternative GHRH analog for researchers who prefer a more native-GHRH-like compound. IGF-1 LR3 sometimes gets stacked on top for direct IGF-1 signaling.

For fat loss: GLP-1 class and beyond

Semaglutide, tirzepatide, and retatrutide dominate the current fat-loss conversation. Single agonist (semaglutide), dual (tirzepatide), and triple (retatrutide) target increasingly broad receptor coverage. AOD9604 is a niche option — a GH fragment that isolates lipolytic activity without the growth signaling.

Recovery: BPC-157 and TB-500

If you train hard enough to look like you train hard, recovery is the rate-limiter. BPC-157 drives angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation) at injury sites; TB-500 promotes cellular migration via actin sequestration. Different arms of the repair response, which is why stacks combining them are popular. Pre-blended vials at 10 mg and 20 mg total mass make the combination painless.

Confidence and libido: PT-141

PT-141 (bremelanotide) is an MC4R-selective melanocortin agonist studied for central sexual-response effects. It comes up in looksmaxxing discussions as a confidence / libido adjunct — unrelated to the pigmentation or body-comp tracks but frequently cited in the same broader stacks.

A realistic starter stack

If you're new to this and want a minimal-variables starting point, most communities suggest anchoring on two things at once — not five. A common starter combination:

  • GHK-Cu 50 mg — skin quality, collagen support.
  • BPC-157 10 mg — recovery, especially if you lift or run.

From there, layer in Melanotan (if pigmentation is a goal), a growth-axis blend (if lean mass is a goal), or a GLP-1-class compound (if fat loss is the priority). Each addition brings new endpoints — don't stack everything at once or you won't know what's doing what.

Storage and handling basics

Peptides ship lyophilized (freeze-dried). Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water using sterile technique. Refrigerate reconstituted vials at 2–8 °C and use within ~28 days. Unreconstituted vials can be frozen for long-term storage. Never shake — swirl gently to preserve peptide integrity.
